LumaStep night lights are now ETL listed for the US market
We moved the entire night light line from self-declaration to third-party ETL listing — ahead of the 2026 marketplace documentation requirements.

A plug-in night light sits in a wall outlet all night, every night, in bedrooms and nurseries. It is one of the few home products where a design fault is a fire risk rather than an inconvenience.
Until this year our night lights were self-declared to UL 1786. That is legal, and it is what a large share of the category does. It is also an honor system: nobody external checks the creepage distances on your PCB.
As of October, the full LumaStep line carries an ETL listing from Intertek to UL 1786 and CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 256. That means an auditor has seen the construction, the thermal test at 1.2× rated voltage, and the abnormal-operation test where we deliberately short the driver.
The listing number is printed on the back of every unit. If a marketplace ever asks you to document a listing for a product you resell, this is the number they want.
We are moving the Glowline and FoldLite lines through the same process in Q1. It is slower and it costs more per SKU. It is also the only version of “safe” that someone else has verified.
