Our story
We started as a sourcing desk. We became a brand because the products deserved it.
Founded in 2014 in Shenzhen, now selling across North America and Europe — with a design studio, a California warehouse and a stubborn preference for doing it ourselves.
Where we came from
Everyone said the margin was in trading. We disagreed.
For the first three years we sourced homeware for other people’s brands. We watched good designs get cheapened at the last minute, then watched the reviews land on someone else’s listing.
In 2017 we launched our own first SKU — a single bamboo cutting board — because we wanted to be the ones accountable when a customer opened the box. That board is still in the collection, on its ninth revision.
Today the team is 46 people across Shenzhen and South San Francisco: industrial designers, packaging engineers, a QA team that visits factories, and four people who answer customer email in shifts.
How we work
Four rules we don’t bend
Materials first
Bamboo, stoneware, linen, food-grade glass. We start from the material and design backwards, never the other way round.
One factory, one standard
Every SKU is produced in facilities we audit twice a year — not traded through middlemen who disappear after the PO.
Repairable, not disposable
Replacement lids, spare straps and single-unit parts stay in stock for at least five years after launch.
Honest pricing
No inflated list prices for the sake of a coupon. The price you see is the price we can sustain.
