Everything we sell touches food, skin or a pet. Here is exactly how it is tested, and which certificates you can ask us for.
Our position, stated plainly
HOMAVIA manufactures for the US and EU markets, so each product is built to the stricter of the two standards where they differ. We do not sell factory seconds, we do not use unverified subcontractors, and we do not ship a batch before the test report is in hand.
If you are a retailer, a marketplace compliance team or a customer who wants to see documentation, email us the SKU and we will send the current certificate and test report within two business days.
Process
Six gates before anything ships
Specification
Design and material spec are written before a factory is chosen. Tolerance, finish and packaging are defined by us, not quoted back to us.
Prototype & abuse
Three rounds of prototypes minimum. Dishwasher cycles, drop tests, and a week of daily use by the team before approval.
Lab testing
Food-contact migration, heavy metals, thermal shock and coating adhesion — tested at SGS or Intertek, not in-house only.
Mass production
AQL 2.5 inspection at 30% and 100% completion. Photos and measurement reports go to our QA file before the container seals.
Transit testing
Cartons are ISTA 3A drop and vibration tested so what arrives at your door survived a sorting centre in Kentucky.
After-sales
Every batch is traceable to its production date. A defect report from one customer triggers a check of the whole lot.

What we hold, and what it covers
A note on claims
Certificates are issued per material and per production batch. A certificate held for one SKU is not automatically valid for another — if you need confirmation for a specific item, ask us for the report that names it. We will never send you a generic PDF and call it compliance.
Materials we use
Short list, known origin
- FSC-certified Moso bamboo from Zhejiang
- High-fire stoneware, lead- and cadmium-free glaze
- Borosilicate glass, thermal-shock tested
- OEKO-TEX Standard 100 linen and cotton
- Platinum-cure food-grade silicone
- Water-based inks and FSC cartons, plastic-free where possible
Safety notices
Things you should know before you buy
Bamboo & wood: hand wash and oil monthly. Do not soak or put in a dishwasher; warping from dishwasher cycles is not covered by warranty.
Stoneware: microwave and dishwasher safe, but avoid sudden temperature change above 120 °C — thermal shock can craze the glaze.
Silicone & glass: both are food-safe to 220 °C. Glass lids and bodies are not for stovetop or oven use unless stated on the listing.
