Safety & compliance
The paperwork, in public.
Every DWEPTU fixture sold in the US is listed or certified by a third party. This page is where the certificate names, standards and testing scope live — so a marketplace reviewer, a retailer or a customer can check them without an email.
Electrical safety
Plug-in fixtures are listed to UL 1786 (night lights) and UL 1598 (luminaires) by Intertek under the ETL mark, which is accepted in the US and Canada. The listing number is printed on the product label and on the inner carton. Adapters are listed separately to UL 1310 as Class 2 power units.
Photobiological safety
Our LED modules are tested to IEC 62471 and fall in the exempt group at all brightness settings. There is no UV output above measurement threshold; the diffuser blocks the blue spike that makes bare LED arrays uncomfortable to look at.
Materials & substances
All SKUs comply with RoHS 3 (EU 2015/863), California Prop 65 for the specific housing and cable materials used, and REACH SVHC at the current candidate list. Cable jackets are phthalate-free.
Energy & labeling
Fixtures fall under CEC Title 20 small battery charger and general service lamp rules; selected retrofit SKUs carry Energy Star. FTC EnergyGuide labeling is applied where required for the lamp-only SKUs.
Installation limits worth reading
- Under-cabinet bars are rated for dry indoor locations only. Do not install above a hob, inside a shower enclosure or outdoors.
- Use the supplied adapter. A higher-voltage adapter will damage the driver and voids the warranty.
- Night lights draw 0.6 W; do not plug them into a switched outlet controlled by a dimmer.
- FoldLite is powered by USB-C at 5 V 2 A. Some fast-charge adapters negotiate higher voltages — use a standard 5 V port.
- The ClimaWall dial is mechanical and contains no electrical parts; it is safe in bathrooms but should not be immersed.
