The detail
About this piece
Waxed canvas on the outside, a water-resistant TPU backing underneath. Damp grass stays on the other side of the blanket, which is the entire point.
The blanket is large enough for four adults sitting, and heavy enough (1.9 kg) that wind does not fold it over your sandwiches. When you are done, fold it, roll it, and buckle the leather strap — it becomes a carry roll about the size of a yoga mat.
The wax coating will crease and lighten with use. That patina is expected; re-wax every two seasons to keep it water repellent.
